Content

The following paragraphs detail the CORI policy of Amesbury Little League. ALL is compliant with the Massachusetts General Laws that require CORI checks for an organization such as ours.

Our organization will request CORI on individuals that have expressed an interest to become a volunteer in the organization. One such volunteer position is coaching. Coaching positions within the league will be assigned based on available open positions as of date of team assignments.

The number of open positions is not clear until the registration of participants is completed, and the board determines the size of each team roster. Those that are not selected as coaches will still be allowed to volunteer in other capacities, thus still requiring a CORI check.

  1. CORI checks will only be conducted as authorized by the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS). All applicants will complete the leagues CORI submittal form, allowing the league to request CORI information. The league will verify the identity of the applicant with a government issued identification.
  2. This CORI policy will be posted in the rules and regulations document for the league, and will be posted on the league web site.
  3. League officials that have been identified to perform CORI, review CORI, and make decisions based on CORI. CORI results are allowed to be discussed only with persons that have been identified by the BOD, and have completed a non-disclosure agreement with the DCJIS, on behalf of Amesbury Little League.
